Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own project ideas through pre-workshop and workshop activities and learn the skills necessary to accelerate change in their communities.



After the workshop

You will join a global community of young leaders working to enact change in their communities throughout the region. Workshop participants are eligible to receive grant funding for community development projects, participate in alumni events, and receive career-enhancing coaching from leaders in business, politics, and industry.

Our Partners

The agenda will navigate participants on how private sector practices for social enterprises can create sustainable development at both the country and regional levels. Featuring speakers from cutting-edge regional social enterprises and innovative youth leaders, we will explore solutions, connections, and ideas to advance regional social entrepreneurship.

Kenan Foundation Asia believes in a world where everyone has the right to build a better life for themselves, their family, and their community.

  • Hands-on, interactive training will focus on finding financial resources, project design, implementation, and impact evaluation.
  • Young leaders will refine their ideas through study visits to leading start-ups and social enterprises and engaging speeches and coaching from successful entrepreneurs and experts in social entrepreneurship.

  Local alike  

A leading social enterprise on a Community-Based Tourism platform in Thailand, and is positioned as an online travel platform connecting travelers around the world to meaningful and authentic experiences. They utilized tourism as one of the development tools for the community and society. Local Alikers are on the mission to enhance the livelihoods at local communities across Thailand and neighboring countries. For the past 7 years, Local Alike have worked with 100 local host communities in 42 provinces, enabling them to run community-based tourism by themselves, bringing 32,000 travelers, both domestic and international travelers, to local host communities to experience different unique local activities and generating around U.S $1.7M worth of benefit distribution to local communities through community-based tourism.

A social enterprise with an aim to build an ecosystem for changemakers in Thailand. School of Changemakers constantly identifies gaps and opportunities to innovate programs and projects with partners to directly support different groups of Changemakers such as young people, young professionals, business and non - profits. Currently, the programs are focusing on Changemaker education in universities and schools, social incubator model and problem insight course. School of Change Makers is also an Ashoka Thailand's initiative, a global community of leading social entrepreneurs (Ashoka Fellows), people with new ideas to create structural social change, founded in 1980 and registered as a non-profit in Thailand in 2002.

Launched in 2013, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is the U.S. Department of State’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. Through a variety of programs and engagements, YSEALI seeks to build the leadership capabilities of youth in the region, strengthen ties between the United States and Southeast Asia, and nurture an ASEAN community of leaders who work across borders to solve common issues.
