Vietnam Disabilities Study Tour

The aim of this project is to demonstrate how integrated rehabilitation services are being planned and implemented from a management perspective to a range of medical directors and senior health officials in Vietnam. The project will increase participants’ understanding of disability services that are provided in Thailand, give a background of disability rights, legislation and financial support mechanisms and formulate a plan to adapt these to the Vietnam context and in Vietnamese hospitals and facilities. The participants will be encouraged to document and share this knowledge with colleagues in Vietnam.

The training will focus on observing and documenting how a rehabilitation hospital organizes the delivery of integrated services, including inpatient and outpatient hospital services and community- and home-based rehabilitation services.
