The Thai Ministry of Commerce (Business Development Department)

The Business Development Department of Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce engaged Kenan Foundation Asia in a US $125,000 franchise development project with the goal of exporting Thai franchises overseas.

Kenan worked with twenty companies, providing them with extensive support in marketing and promotion to prepare them to seek out potential investors at business matching events in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Jordan, and Indonesia, and accompanied them on business development trips. Brands such as the Central Group’s Thai Privilege Spa and Black Canyon Restaurant participated in the project and received very positive feedback from foreign investors. Thai Privilege Spa now operates in New York, Dubai, Mumbai, Shanghai, and Suzhou. Black Canyon Coffee has successfully expanded into Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and the UAE.
