Kenan will organize 15 two-day workshops, each of which will have at least 50 participants, in rural provinces across Vietnam. Each workshop will emphasize interactive learning that simultaneously builds participants’ soft skills, such as communication, advocacy, and critical thinking, and grows their understanding of critical global challenges related to health, education, environment, and economic empowerment. In addition, the youth will craft and present ideas for community projects that they would like to implement following the workshop.
After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to submit proposals for grants to address social challenges in their communities. Selected teams will receive funding from YSEALI to launch their project, with Kenan and its partners providing mentoring support throughout the process. Lastly, Kenan will create a digital platform for participants and YSEALI members to update progress on their initiatives, seek guidance from peers, and share useful implementation tools. Overall, the platform will help to sustain this powerful network of socially conscious young leaders in rural Vietnam.
