With funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Kenan provided an international consultant to serve as the Human Resources/Social Development Specialist for the US $300,000 Planning for the Sustainable Development of Southern Thailand project between May and November 2008.

Kenan’s consultant worked closely with the project team and Thailand’s National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) to conduct a socioeconomic profile of the region, identify and profile vulnerable groups, review the migrant labor situation, identify human resource development needs in targeted industries including tourism, agribusiness, steel and petrochemical, and analyze educational services. The Kenan consultant also designed and led public consultations for 180 community, government and private sector representatives in the Eastern, Western, and Southern sub-regions of Southern Thailand.
