Launched in December 2016 and ending in May 2017, Kenan recruited 100 teachers from 2 provinces (50 each from Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai) and conducted a one-day FL training course for teachers in both provinces. The training built teachers’ knowledge in Personal Financial Management with a practical focus on expense & debt reduction and how to save regularly, using real-world examples. The goal was to help teachers reduce their debt vulnerability and improve their financial well-being. For three months following the training, Kenan provided one-on-one personal consultation for teachers, addressing individual financial circumstances.
The trained teachers in Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen province gained an understanding of Personal Financial Management in everyday life areas such as income management, saving effectively, and expense and debt management. The teachers also gained the knowhow to reduce their current debt and ultimately, improve their financial wellbeing.
