Facebook We Think Digital

Jan 26,2023

The project promotes a sense of digital citizenship and equips Thai youth with tools and skills to effectively navigate and engage in the growing and evolving digital community. To do so, the project will deliver training to selected youth leaders, who will then work with Kenan to co-facilitate regional virtual workshops that reach hundreds of other youth throughout Thailand.

Using Facebook’s Digital Citizenship curriculum, Kenan and selected youth leaders deliver virtual trainings to youth across Thailand on the skills and tools necessary to navigate the internet responsibly and contribute meaningfully to digital communities. The project includes the We Think Digital – Youth Network closed Facebook group, which serves as a center for collaboration for young leaders nationwide. In addition, youth participants will have the opportunity to implement their own initiatives with mentorship support from Kenan. The youth will present their initiatives to members of the Children and Youth Council of Thailand on a livestream hosted on the organization’s Facebook page.

By its conclusion, the project will develop the digital literacy skills of 180 youth leaders and 640 university students, enabling them to become digital citizens and contributing to a flourishing online ecosystem. Moreover, the project will empower participants to implement their own initiatives to address critical issues related to digital citizenship within their communities. The youth participants will become leaders who support a sustainable digital community.
