Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. (April 2015-April 2020)
The Chevron Enjoy Science project is one of the world’s largest ever education focused public-private-partnerships, and has been designed to accelerate efforts to create an inclusive, sustainable education system in support of transforming Thailand into a high income nation. Partnering with Kenan Foundation Asia, leading universities, international organizations, and a range of key government and private sector organizations, Chevron is investing over US $30 million to implement a modern, scalable model of education delivery for students across all regions of Thailand. At the heart of Enjoy Science are activities strengthening teaching in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and developing critical 21st century skills, by utilizing international curriculum and proven, high-impact teaching practices localized and adapted to meet the needs of Thai teachers, students, and employers. By the end of the project’s five years, it will directly impact the lives of over 1,000,000 students, parents, teachers, and workers, and improve education performance to help meet the pressing and future needs for a highly-skilled, knowledgeable modern workforce.
