Role Description

Kenan is seeking the position of Procurement Officer to primarily focus on the execution of procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management. Procurement Officer will closely intertwine with project objectives, such as scope, schedule, and budget to ensure that procurement efforts seamlessly integrate into the project plan to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research:

  • Conducts thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and gather information on market trends.

Sourcing and Negotiation:

  • Sources goods or services from suppliers/vendors, negotiates pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value for the project.

Vendor Selection

  • Evaluates proposals received from vendors, assesses their suitability based on predefined criteria, and selects the most appropriate vendor competitive and transparent procurement processes
  • Creates purchase orders, ensuring relevant procurement procedures have been applied and all supporting documentation is attached
  • Identifies and mitigates risks associated with procurement activities, such as supplier reliability, quality issues, or supply chain disruptions

Contract Management:

  • Manages contracts with vendors, ensures compliance with terms and conditions, monitors vendor performance, and addresses any issues that may arise during the contract period.
  • Carries out periodic controls to ensure that the filing system are properly used and that documents being regularly filed and easily accessible
  • Ensuring timely renewal/extension of all existing contracts before the expiration period
  • Coordinate with the project team with respect to contract/s value/s and any variation orders issued or approved to ensure adherence to the overall allocated budget

  • Bachelor or Higher Degree in Business Administration, Arts, Humanities, Social Science or related filed.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in sourcing and procurement.
  • Experience in project related is preferable.
  • Pleasant personality and good communication skills.
  • Good command in both Thai and English.
